Karate

Logan started taking karate in November of last year and Lauren started in December. This past Friday night, they tested for their first belt. In testing, they require them to break boards. Lauren and Logan both broke one board during testing. We still haven't gotten the results from their testing, but hopefully we will soon. They had another board, so their instructor told them they could practice last night and try to break the other board. Neil went with them last night to karate and took these pictures:

When Neil got home last night and was showing me these pictures, he realized that they had her using her right hand. She is left handed. No wonder she needed help! She did the same thing Friday night. They were showing her how to break the board with her right leg, so she did what they said. At some point, one of the instructors realized that she was left handed and asked her. When she swapped and used her left leg, she broke the board. Crazy girl! I guess it is tough being left handed in right handed world!
